This puppy was FREE! Yup, F.R.E.E!!!! I got it and another piece off of Craigslist for free! It does not get better than that!
The lady didn’t want to take it to the dump and pay to get rid of it, so I was all too happy to take the pieces off her hands!
So, again, I scuffed it up a bit with some fine-ish grit sandpaper. Primed it and painted it with some oops paint.
I tried a new thing for me with this piece though! I Mod-Podged it this time. I had never ventured this way with furniture in the past, but I think it turned out pretty good. I just used some scrapbooking paper I had on hand and slapped it on there … so it’s not perfect, but I like it.
It adds color and whimsy to our home and it a conversation starter as well … well, anything, pretty much in our home is a conversation starter … everything has a story as long as I have anything to do with it!

This is so cute. I never thought to use scrapbook paper for a furniture makeover…I have loads of it laying around. I’m gonna give this a try!
Yes, I like! I love the modpodge paper. Question for you: did you have problems with air bubbles? If you did, how did you get rid of them. That always seems to be my problem! I’ve tried a needle to pop, a roller, just about everything!
Would love for you to drop by and link up to Passion for Paint this weekend.

Colleen, I did have air bubbles. I tried to get them out as much as I could. But as it dried, they seemed to disappear and they’re totally gone now.

My FIL has a table similar to this that I’ve been trying to get off him for years, lol. This makes me want it even more!
Go get it when he’s not looking and paint it, he won’t notice it! hehe!!! Show him the potential it has, maybe he’ll give it to you! Good luck
So cute. I love it.

Love your table! I have been looking for one just like it. I can put twice as many things on it with the double shelves, lol. I am no minimalist.
